Plywood Workdesk & Cabinet
My workdesk made with plywood
2/1/2025
As I finished my workbench project, I wanted a desk which would become my primary workarea. I didn’t intend to build a cabinet. Initially just wanted to paint the desk and buy metal legs from amazon to hold the top.
Later I realized I had a lot of stuff and it would be easier to have a cabinet to store all these things. Hence I Decided to Make a Table Top , Cabinet and 1 Leg.
Plywood Top
- I wanted my top to be thick, I laminated 12mm and 18mm ply together for the top. Used Enamel Top coat.
- Abstract wood grains are hand drawn. I Added 3 coats of 1K PU for spill proofing and scratch protection.
- Used Asian Paints Enamel Paint and 1K PU.
DImensions: 65in x 30in
Leg
- Made a Square leg with Sal wood.
- 4 pieces with glued half lap joints.
- Attached foam on base where legs meet table top.
Dimensions: 27in x 2.5in
Cabinet
- Super Wide Cabinet with 2 Drawers and 2 Storage Compartments.
- Teak Trim on Border. Plywood runners for Drawers
- Sal wood legs
- Sturdy to sit on
Dimensions: 24in x 20in
